Individual Counseling

“I was always looking outside of my self for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time.”
Anna Freud

Wherever you are on your life's journey, I provide a peaceful, empowering, and professional environment for our work, and my sincere commitment and support in helping you to reach your goals with therapy.

I believe that when safety and trust is present in the therapeutic connection between us, obstacles can be removed, self-esteem and self-confidence will grow, negative self-talk be replaced with self-affirming beliefs, and awareness of new coping skills and inner resources provide a new meaning to your life experiences.

If any of the following issues are casting a shadow over your ability to enjoy life, counseling can help bring about the changes you desire:

• Complex Trauma such as Childhood Sexual Abuse
• Post Traumatic Stress - PTSD
• Substance Abuse and Addictions
• Neglect, Betrayal, and Abusive Relationships
• Age Related Changes and Difficulties
• Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Depression
• Difficult Life Transitions
• Divorce
• Grief and Loss
• Intimacy and relationship problems
• Work related problems

Normally, a session is 45-50 minutes. Occasionally, depending on the treatment plan and method of processing, we may decide to extend the time of the session. The frequency of sessions depends on the nature of your concerns, the urgency of your problems, and your personal situation. Thus, we may agree on biweekly, weekly, or bimonthly sessions.
